Denver Girl Friday Concierge

Hi, my name is Natasha, and I want to share the story of Denver Girl Friday and how it all started. For those who don't know me, you'll soon realize that I am genuine, honest, and straightforward. I believe in sharing our experiences because they can motivate others to take risks or, at the very least, know that they are not alone!

Denver Girl Friday is a concierge and lifestyle management service that helps busy individuals in the Denver Metro area. Our goal is to help you destress and enjoy life by giving you the gift of time. We take on your to-do list and handle tasks you don't have the time or desire to do. Our services include running errands, doing laundry, waiting on contractors, planning parties, dog sitting, house sitting, and providing business support such as administrative work, social media management, and marketing & so much more. We offer our services in Denver, Cherry Hills Village, Lone Tree, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, Parker, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Momument, and Franktown.

Now For The Story...

It was September 2023, and I was talking to a close friend over the phone. We were discussing the significant shift in the real estate market, and we both agreed that we needed to work extra hard to stay ahead of the game. Two months earlier, we had talked about what we needed to do to grow our business, but we never took action. During our conversation, I asked my friend if she had ever felt excited about going to a listing appointment, and her answer was a resounding "No." I then confessed that I felt the same way and was tired of not being present with my family during vacations because of work. Although I loved helping people with significant life changes and seeing their faces light up when they found their house, I didn't really like real estate as a whole. To make matters worse, people were no longer appreciative of our hard work, and everyone seemed to want a discount. Some people were even unrealistic with their expectations. It was all too much, and I was at a breaking point, especially with the current market making it extra challenging to get a house sold. However, I resolved that I had chosen to do this, and I there were parts of it I enjoyed; I loved helping people, so I decided to get a part-time job while the real estate market was slow.

Little Did I know...

After creating a resume and an Indeed profile, I was confident that my diverse work experience and eclectic background would make it easy for me to find a part-time job. However, my job search left me quickly disappointed to see the low pay rates offered by companies. I couldn't believe it and thought to myself, "Are you kidding me?" It had been years since I had worked for anyone and the reality of how people live on such low wages was shocking to me. I wondered what single parents do in such situations. I was truly heartbroken about how bad things truly are out there. No wonder people " don't want to work! Despite my disappointment and discouragement, I logged on to Indeed every single day hoping to find something with decent pay. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything, and every day grew more discouraged. My husband would come home some evenings to find me in tears.

One day, I made a decision to stop wallowing in self-pity and to take action instead. Whenever I felt low, I would turn to God, employ my coaching skills on myself, and pray. The next day, I woke up with a prayer, practiced gratitude, and asked for divine guidance. The answer I received was to brainstorm and come up with ideas. And so, I did just that. Within 10 minutes Denver Girl Friday was born!

Who knew...

LI had no idea that my varied interests, careers, training, and certifications were actually preparing me for my current role as a Denver Girl Friday. Since my teenage years, I had been unconsciously training for this job. It involves being a concierge and managing lifestyles, and it fits me perfectly. I always craved adventure, change, and uncertainty, and I enjoy doing different things all the time. For the first time in my life, I don't feel like I'm all over the place. Instead, I feel like everything I've done so far has led me to this point. I love helping others, and not only do I get to help give people the gift of time and destress, but I will eventually be able to employ others and give them a job they love with the pay they deserve. It's a win-win situation. I am excited! Although Denver Girl Friday is currently in its infancy stages, I know it's going to be amazing. If you use our services, I guarantee that you won't be disappointed!
